The Brief

Lok-It-Up is a mobile app created to make it easy for users to locate a locker to store their belongings away securely for up to 24 hours. This case study delves into the process of creating the brand identity and designing the mobile app.

The Problem

Brighton boasts a popular tourist destination for all. Both locals and tourists alike flock to the picturesque town whether its to celebrate a birthday, to grab a drink at the bar or to spend the day on the beach Brighton attracts thousands.

After speaking with locals from the area we saw a problem emerge - people felt anxious leaving their belongings unattended. They couldn’t fully enjoy themselves without feeling anxious about potential theft preventing them from relaxing, swimming etc.

Created wireframes to outline the layout and functionality of key pages, including the homepage, product (locker) pages, checkout process, and user account details.
Usability Testing


Conducted usability testing on wireframes to identify potential usability issues and iteratively refine the design and found that:

Users found it easier to navigate the app when there was less information per page

Users wanted a bottom bar to navigate between the main pages

Users found it beneficial to edit the locker booking and payment method on the same page

Created the brand's visual identity, incorporating the chosen color palette, typography and imagery.
